Canny Chanters
The Canny Chanters Chopwell Arts Programme was devised and developed by local community musician and producer Bethany Elen Coyle in collaboration with local residents, artists and organisations, in response to ongoing community consultation and conversations about what new creative arts and wellbeing activities the community would like to see developed.
The project was designed to compliment and contrast with the existing range of activities hosted in Chopwell and work in partnership with local organsations, practitioners and residents to together trial, evaluate and create a new programme of grassroots activities in Chopwell.
Building on the success of the Canny Chanters choir, established in 2018, the main aim of the CCCA project is to develop a sustainable programme of accessible and affordable arts, music and wellbeing activities, designed by our community, for the community and delivered by local artists, musicians and practitioners.
