I Love Scarborough Road

I Love Scarborough Road it a place based arts and community focused CIC which had 2 Well Newcastle Gateshead funded projects: Urban Wilderness and NE6 Festive Windows.

Urban Wilderness

The Urban Wilderness project creatively engaged with and enabled residents looking after the outdoor spaces in Byker old Town. It allowed the community to have a shared set of creative outdoor resources to assist their care of these spaces . The project took an artistic approach to the overgrown spaces and what it means to tame them, adapt them, or let them be and documented this as an artist film. The film was screened at community centres and entered into short film festivals in 2021.
