The Get Going Drama Group was community engagement for adults with intellectual disabilities and a mental health condition. ‘The Book Group’ - aimed to facilitate people with intellectual disabilities (ID) living in the community after a hospital admission. Using a co-production model with service user involvement the group used the ‘Books Beyond Words’ series, developed for people with an ID by people with ID on relevant topics to their needs. Stories were read and parts role played to share experiences and open discussions.
