Creativity Works received funding for 2 phases of a project titled Getting Started Making Art.

Phase 1: The focus of the project was the positive effect of engaging in art, creative activities and story-telling in the transition and school readiness of children aged 2-4. It took place in nursery groups at Edberts House and Pattinsons House Felling, Felling Library and Bede Primary and St Wilfrids Primary.

Phase 2: The project aimed to animate public spaces in Felling Park by siting decorative ceramic planters around the children's play area. The planters were decorated with relief tiles of self-portraits made by children aged 2-7 in local Felling schools and community centres, to be maintained by Friends of Felling Park.
